To deepen and promote high-quality development in China-EU agricultural and food product trade, an 11-member delegation of EU Ambassadors to China visited Jiangsu Tiancheng Egg Industry Co., Ltd. on the afternoon of May 8, engaging in discussions and dialogue on future cooperation directions. The delegation first toured the liquid egg and egg powder production workshops, gaining detailed insights into key production processes and food safety control points—including egg feeding, breaking, pasteurization, filling, central control, and egg powder drying. At the corporate culture museum, they learned about Tiancheng Group's development journey, its integrated layer hen industry chain, and the innovative application of digital technologies within the layer hen sector.

At the intelligent egg grading and processing center, sorting equipment operates efficiently, seamlessly completing the entire process—from washing, disinfection, oil coating, crack detection, weighing, to inkjet coding—handling 120,000 eggs per hour. Each egg carries a unique “ID,” allowing consumers to trace the entire journey from farm to processing via a traceability code.
Before the digital platform for egg-laying chicken farming, President Chen Min provided a detailed introduction to the digitalized egg-laying chicken farming model, highlighting the application of barn-patrolling robots that enable comprehensive monitoring of the flock.

The delegation commended Tiancheng Egg Industry's practices in technological innovation and quality and food safety management. President Chen Min stated that this exchange would serve as an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation with the EU in food safety, market access, technology, and equipment, accelerating the entry of more high-quality egg products into the EU market.
Leaders from Nantong Customs and its Hai'an Office, the Nantong Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the Hai'an Municipal Government accompanied the delegation during the visit.
