On August 9, the Nantong Municipal Government Information Office held a press conference themed “Urban-Rural Integration: Painting a New Picture of Beautiful Nantong.” The event showcased how comprehensive ecological improvements across the region—through spatial planning, ecological enhancement, rural revitalization, urban renewal, and water network development—are creating a new landscape of harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature, as well as integrated urban-rural development.

Since the beginning of this year, Nantong has meticulously developed spatial and industrial plans for its coastal areas, fully supporting the construction of the Yangtze River Estuary Industrial Innovation and Collaboration Zone and helping Nantong establish itself as a provincial pioneer in high-quality marine industry development. High-quality progress has been made in village planning, outlining a blueprint for livable and prosperous villages with distinctive features of the river-sea plain. Currently, the village planning completion rate stands at 98.7%, ranking among the highest in the province. Systematic efforts have been made to advance the integrated conservation and restoration of mountains, waters, forests, farmlands, lakes, and grasslands. A series of major ecological conservation and restoration projects have been implemented, including comprehensive utilization of saline-alkali land, landscape engineering, marine ecological restoration, and comprehensive land improvement.

In step with the city's prosperity, Nantong's charming villages—ideal for both living and working—are advancing with greater confidence. Poultry and egg farming stands as one of the five pillar agricultural industries in Nantong's Hai'an District. At the egg collection center of Jiangsu Tiancheng Technology Group's Tiansheng Mu Yuan, freshly laid eggs from the coops enter an intelligent production line: washing, disinfection, crack detection, weighing... The automated egg sorting line processes 120,000 eggs per hour, achieving at least tenfold efficiency gains over manual labor,“ stated Wang Wenyu, Executive Vice President of Jiangsu Tiancheng Group. ”Not only has staffing been reduced to one-sixth of the original requirement, but more importantly, precise control over egg quality has been realized." Reporters learned that the company has firmly embraced digital and intelligent development centered around the “single egg” in modern agriculture, establishing a comprehensive standard system spanning layer farming, feed processing, egg product processing, logistics, quality traceability, management services, and farmer collaboration.
